Exercise Ready = 35%

Ongoing Plan Maintenance / Corporate Awareness = 90% - 95%

What is BCM?
It literally means Business Continuity Management. BCM is the strategic process that, once implemented, allows organizational resilience. In other words, how companies learn to plan for responding to, recovering from and continuing operations by:

- Establishing key roles and responsibilities
- Identifying what needs to be protected, by when and why
- Understanding how to define and set readiness requirements
- Creating a "game plan" to ensure business recovery and continuity
- Producing documented plans to quickly and effectively act when required
- Performing validation exercises to ensure plans are executable
- Repeating the process regularly

To be successful, any planning program must be:
1. Able to move readiness from theory
2. Easy to use
3. Understandable
4. Measurable
5. Cost Effective
6. Repeatable
7. Regulation compliant
